A footy free weekend so made the trip to The Royal Oak, Dunsford on the eastern fringes of Dartmoor. Mia, Nick and I stayed in the converted barn at the back whilst "Trademark Mark" and his wife Tania stayed up the road at Mark's sisters house.
The object of the walk was to get to the "Warren House", sup some beer and get some grub. The final hill was something of a challenge but once over the cusp we could see the pub below.
Once refreshed it was back onto the moor again.
Well, I wasn't interested in any "cock or spunk fun" but I did see Nick looking rather furtive at one point!
The next day Mark, Tania and the dogs went home and we made a trip to "Wistman's Wood" an ancient windswept oak forest.
Before the start of the walk we came across a clapper bridge at "Postbridge"
You saw the "Bridge"...here's the "Post"
And here's an extremely good looking chap passing yet another bridge
It was a case of over the gate and into the wilderness once more...
A very strange wood indeed...expected to see some hobbits jumping about...
Ah yes....there's one
Roll the mouse over to see us scramble to the top

Video of the pub and the poor chaps gasping for breath out on the moor!!

You can't go wrong with Dartmoor and once more two cracking hikes. A first timer for Mia, Mark and Tania. They'll be back for more.

T'ra folks

Walking is fun!!
Hiking out in the fresh country air and quaffing gallons of real ale
