October 2006. I signed on for a course in Video Production & film studies in Ealing and come 11th November was out with my team making our first film in the Victoria area of London.

If anyone had told me a year before I would be studying film at university I would have "laffed my ass off". But at the temple of learning that is TVU, student number: 20250380 signed on for a three year BA. It was naturally strange at first, not least because I was far and away the oldest there. Older than the lecturers in fact! The course has been fun though the first semester was a little slow from my perspective but the "Empty Bottle" team worked very well together.

THE EXCHANGE: AN EMPTY BOTTLE PRODUCTION
It was a tiring day. We started off taking ages over shots and doing them again and again to get them just right. As time started to creep on we had to quickly find locations and just shoot them in one take. The added hassle of security guards at Victoria station and shopping mall didn't help matters. For the final scene I had to physically restrain the security guard from walking into the scene. Luckily he was cool about it!
