Kevin Skelly and Sean the Bear

Apart from myself these two characters are the sole survivors from the Shilin days of the 90's...We're all doing different things but we're still in the Taipei massive mixin' it up

Mr Paco's, the restaurant of choice for many years. This was before Sean and Olly broke up.

SHAUN
SKELLY

Shaun was a Taiwan long termer but was banned from the country for overstaying his visa for a cool 8 years. One name change and new passport later, Shaun was back in Taiwan working his way through the Taiwan girls. Then it was all change, along came Olly from S.Africa and the boy vowed never to look at an oriental again.....
1½ years later (after having moved into the 5th floor of my building with her) it was on the rocks and Mr Eyles moved to out to be with..........Mr Skelly.

That didn't last though and after a few months living in a rabbit hutch the Bear moved to this delightful little place. So nice in fact that in July 2007 I moved in too!

Shaun used to lie around all day on the sofa as you can see above.
Not anymore. As a translator this boy has deadlines to meet and the resulting pressure to deal with....Absolutely no chance of him ever going out again then...he'll be too knackered and would much rather be at home with his iPod and a nice cup of herbal tea.....
Anyway, the bear has now been single for ages and has nothing in the pipeline. The stable, once stocked with a goodly variety of fillies, is empty...
BUT THE BEAR NEVER GOES OUT....HOW WILL HE MEET ANYONE?


The Bear still plays sport and won the inaugural Jing-Mai golfing trophy as you can see bashfully receiving it from Mia	As the self proclaimed "outsider" or as Ev describes him "The lone tent on the hill" Shaun sits alone facing the great ocean

But occasionally, very occasionally the Bear does some wacky things. Glitter on the face is one such tactic, spray painting boots is another and as you can see here a rather fetching headscarf. These moments of pure madness usually manifest themselves when the bear is in love...	As an appreciator of good art The Bear had this installation piece commissioned to sit just outside his apartment....or is just the wall crumbling away with damp? Hard to tell really.

Or benevolent powder puff?

I filmed Skelly in December 2007 performing in "The Magic Tree".
They hired me on the cheap to film, edit and make some DVD's to flog to the parents. I should come a little cheaper than the 300,000 they paid to a professional film company....but not much darling!

Well, not actually Skelly himself, but Jenny Chen has given birth to a miniature scotsgirl who, no doubt in 20 years hence will be causing mayhem in some part of the world!

Does this man have no limits?? If a child is lost on the street, Skelly will be there to help him find a way home. Countless beggars have benefited from his generosity. Wrongs have been righted, Evil men have been found and punished...and all because of this super hero who makes the streets of Taipei a better place. The man is of such standing that he has been proudly acclaimed...THE NEW BOSS OF CARNEGIES (spirit of rock)
Yes, indeed. Quite a remarkable rise for the man from Broughty Ferry. But if you were to see him out during 07/08 the boy wastes no time networking. shamelessly some might say, taking care of his new family others might retort. Life will surely change now that little Kira is on the scene...

House c***t but good was good value on a night out until he got serious with Jenny....Now after a couple of years, shall we say "turbulence" they seem a bit more chilled and those worry lines are starting to disappear from Skelly's brow....the grey hairs haven't though!!

Skelly and Jenny came to the UK in August 2005 and Nina and I went to meet 'em for a day in London

Skelly and boss Freddy....Skelly sold his soul to "world family" years ago but is taking it one step further with his new venture.
