The drummer for some reason is not considered part of the band....bit of politics before the group make it big...a la commitments??
Ah...Greassy Spoon. There I was supping real ale at the beer tent when the bear texted me to go and see a hot Jap band.
I did and they rocked!! Amusing command of English too...
"You come see us play in Taipei or we no money go back Japan"
Well, I bought the DVD and on the following wednesday went with the Bear to see them at the Riverside. Disappointing crowd, but a good show.
On Friday went to the Living Room with Skelly, Wavy Davy and Casey to see them once more...this time they started off crap as they were hemmed into a tiny space. Action was required to I moved some tables back and pushed their mikes forward.....the show began and it was kickass once more!!.....Ended up going out to Roxy 99 with the singer and guitarist...though I think they were rather more interested in my 2 girly friends who spoke good Japanese!!
A few snaps of us horsing around with the band at the "Living room".....So, that was Greassy Spoon's tour of Taiwan. Great live act, hope they come to London some day and in the meantime...good luck in Tokyo!!
